Choose Your Real Christmas Tree Size
Every Hillview Christmas tree is naturally grown, which means no two trees are exactly the same. Each has its own shape, branch structure and character.
Small: approximately 1.5–1.8m
Medium: approximately 1.8–2.1m
Large: approximately 2.1–2.4m
Extra Large: approximately 2.4–2.8m when available
For a standard 2.4m ceiling, a Medium Christmas tree is generally a great choice, leaving room for your tree stand and topper.
Farm-Grown Near Tamworth
Your Woolomin Christmas tree comes directly from our family farm near Dungowan in the hills outside Tamworth.
Our Radiata Pine Christmas trees spend years growing outdoors in the paddock. During that time, we care for and shape them through hot summers, winter frosts and everything the New England North West seasons throw at them.
When Christmas arrives, we harvest the trees and prepare them specifically for each collection.
There is no warehouse full of trees waiting around for weeks. We aim to have our trees cut within 48 hours of collection, giving you a quick turnaround from our farm to your home.
Fresh, Fragrant & Naturally Different
One of the reasons people love a real Christmas tree is that it doesn’t look artificial.
Every tree is different. Some are wider, some narrower, some have a particularly beautiful full side — that’s part of choosing a naturally grown Christmas tree.
Our trees have the classic green foliage and fresh pine fragrance that makes bringing a real tree into the house feel like Christmas.
Each tree is wrapped in protective netting for transport. Once home, remove the netting and allow the branches a little time to relax back into their natural position.
Looking After Your Real Christmas Tree
Real Christmas trees are surprisingly easy to care for. The most important thing is water.
When you get your tree home:
- Remove the protective netting.
- Make a fresh cut of approximately 2cm from the base of the trunk.
- Place the tree immediately into water.
- Check the water level every day and keep the reservoir full.
- Keep your tree away from excessive heat, direct sunlight and strong air-conditioning.
With good care, we recommend enjoying your Hillview Christmas tree for around three weeks at its freshest.

Transporting Your Tree
Your tree will be netted to make transport easier, but please come prepared to protect it on the trip home.
Do not place your Christmas tree directly onto a hot ute tray. Please bring a towel, blanket or mat to place underneath the tree.
Need a Christmas Tree Stand?
A proper water-holding Christmas tree stand makes a real tree much easier to set up and helps keep plenty of water available throughout Christmas.
We stock reusable Cinco Christmas Tree Stands designed specifically for real Christmas trees.

From Our Family Farm to Woolomin
Our family’s Christmas tree growing story stretches back more than 20 years, beginning on the Coffs Coast before we continued the tradition at Hillview near Tamworth.
We planted our first Christmas trees at Hillview in 2021 and continue planting new crops for future Christmas seasons.
Growing a Christmas tree takes years, which makes it particularly rewarding to see trees we’ve cared for in our paddocks heading to families throughout Woolomin, Tamworth and the surrounding districts each Christmas.
