Choose Your Real Christmas Tree Size

Every Hillview Christmas tree is naturally grown, so no two trees are exactly alike. Heights are approximate and every tree will have its own natural shape, branch structure and character.

Small: approximately 1.5–1.8m
Medium: approximately 1.8–2.1m
Large: approximately 2.1–2.4m
Extra Large: approximately 2.4–2.8m when available

For a standard 2.4m ceiling, a Medium Christmas tree is generally a great choice, leaving room for your tree stand and topper.

Locally Grown Christmas Trees in Tamworth

Your Calrossy Christmas tree isn’t being brought into Tamworth from a distant supplier. This is where it was grown.

Our Christmas tree farm is located near Dungowan in the hills outside Tamworth. Our Radiata Pine trees spend years growing outdoors in the paddock, where we care for and shape them through Tamworth’s hot summers, winter frosts and changing seasons.

When Christmas arrives, we harvest the trees and prepare them for our local Tamworth collection points.

The tree you take home from our Calrossy collection was grown right here in the Tamworth region by our family.

Freshly Cut for Christmas

We aim to have our Christmas trees cut within 48 hours of collection, helping you take home a fresh, fragrant real Christmas tree for the festive season.

Each tree is wrapped in protective netting for easier and safer transport. Once you get home, remove the netting and allow a little time for the branches to relax back into their natural position.

With good care and plenty of water, we recommend enjoying your Hillview Christmas tree for around three weeks at its freshest.

Taking Your Christmas Tree Home

Please come prepared to transport your Christmas tree safely.

Do not place your Christmas tree directly onto a hot ute tray. Bring a towel, blanket or mat to protect the tree during transport.

Once home:

• Remove the protective netting.
• Make a fresh cut of approximately 2cm from the base of the trunk.
• Place your tree immediately into water.
• Keep the water reservoir topped up every day.
• Keep your tree away from excessive heat, direct sunlight and strong air-conditioning.

Real Christmas trees are surprisingly easy to care for. Keeping plenty of water available is the most important thing.

From Our Tamworth Farm to Your Family

Our family’s Christmas tree story began more than 20 years ago on the Coffs Coast before we continued the tradition at Hillview near Tamworth.

We planted our first Christmas trees at Hillview in 2021 and continue planting new trees for future Christmas seasons.

Growing a Christmas tree takes years. We care for and shape them as they grow, and there is something pretty special about seeing a tree we’ve watched grow in our paddock become part of another family’s Christmas.
